Induction
Every employee
is inducted by Neptune Building Services Ltd upon their
commencement. This induction includes instruction of their
responsibilities to the company and the companies responsibilities
towards them.
This initial
induction also includes instruction on the health and safety
standards that we set and how we achieve them, along with
information on the work that they will be carrying out, our
structure and the supervision aspects.
Each employee
also receives an annual safety induction with re-instruction on
responsibilities, information on the latest health and safety
regulations and a reflection on the works carried out during the
previous year.
Training
On a quarterly
basis the training file is reviewed and renewals, new employees and
job changes are reviewed with a report issued to the health and
safety committee for further training requirements.

CSCS Skillcards
Neptune Building
Services Ltd are committed to compliance with the Main Contractors
Group strategy for all site operatives to be CSCS graded by the end
of December 2003.
All of our
mechanical direct labour and management currently possess HVCA
skillcards.
50% of our
electrical direct labour and management currently possess JIB cards
with the remainder anticipated by the end of December.
45% of our
labour only sub-contractors possess either HVCA Skillcards or JIB
cards and we are assisting the remainder with their applications.
90% of our
approved supply and fix sub-contractors have CSCS cards.
Monitoring
On a monthly
basis each site is reviewed and a monitoring report form completed
indicating any health and safety issues associated with the site or
works. The relevant information is passed to all of the responsible
parties including main contractor, Neptune management or site staff.
Feedback
Over and above
the daily responsibility of the site staff to report any concerns to
their direct supervisor, on a monthly basis as part of the
monitoring process, all attending Neptune site staff including
sub-contractors are involved in a site tool box talk which includes
instruction on any indicated problems and any feed back on safety
issues.

The
responsibility of the safety committee is to review the monitoring
reports, training, inductions, accidents and safety structure
performance along with provision of the financial and infrastructure
required and action as necessary.
Neptune
Building Services Ltd are also a member of the H&G Construction
Safety Association and benefit from their advice services.

building site Health and Safety levels and reduce accidents/risks
